Educators act ethically and maintain the integrity, credibility and reputation of the profession.

This standard seems to be one that surprises many teacher candidates upon entering their Education programs, and often is the one that requires the most restraint or sacrifice on their parts. For myself, I don’t think my lifestyle changed in any way to adapt to this standard, as I already was careful about what I showcased on social media and strive to act as professionally and ethically as possible.

Besides, most of my social media tends to be gaming or family related, not too exciting for the average stranger…

… and don’t these just scream professional!

It can be difficult to showcase ethical and professional actions without tooting my own horn too much (awkward) and photos can only show so much. I like to think though that anyone who comes into contact with me can see these things in me, and value me as a person, professional and teacher.
