Educators value the involvement and support of parents, guardians, families and communities in schools.

It can be very easy to isolate yourself while teaching, to forget that it doesn’t have to be just you and the students in the classroom, to forget about the variety of resources and skilled people around you.

It can be scary to give up control within your classroom and allow others to come in and contribute, but it is incredibly important to do so. By involving community members, parents/guardians and family members, you enrich your classroom and bring a more diverse learning experience to your students.

Through community our learning is enhanced and expanded upon beyond our own skills.
