Educators implement effective planning, instruction, assessment and reporting practices to create respectful, inclusive environments for student learning and development.
Throughout all of my practicum experiences I have focused on being extremely prepared with my planning. Effective planning allows a teacher to prepare strong lessons that will support all of their students. Throughout planning unit plans, lesson, plans, and day plans I focus on prepping all parts of the upcoming learning and adapting my teaching to the needs of my students.I have found that planning is an important part of my process that helps me to feel comfortable going into my class every day. My planning makes it so my classroom is a more respectful and inclusive environment for my students, where they are given the tools to excel.

This sort of planning takes place in a variety of stages, beginning with the extensive planning that occurs before ever even meeting the students. Then comes the adaptations and alterations for the unique needs of your classes. Finally the planning must be constantly adapted to meet the needs of the students as the class continues. This could be adjusting plans to refocus on areas of weakness, or exploring branching areas of exploration that have surfaced within the classroom.
